31 Days of Halloween – Day 14

IMG_3778I had so much fun making this interactive card! I followed a fantastic tutorial at Mixed up Craft, it was so clear and easy to follow – even though I work in Metric, the inches weren’t a problem.  I of course used some of my favourite Doodlebug Design papers and some Day of the Dead papers from DCWV.  The little cliparts on the front of the card are from Pretty Grafic Design.  The yellow tabs pull up and down and the purple ones pull out to the sides.

I added some stickers to the tabs for a pop of colour.  In the tutorial you can also learn how to make an envelope and a stand for this card.  As it’s a little chunky, this card doesn’t fit in a standard envelope.

Here’s what the card looks in action – I have demonstrated pulling both tabs together, but if you pull just one, the other automatically moves too.

I have joined the following challenges:

  1. I love the kitty sugar skulls – so pretty! I’ve always loved sugar skulls
and you can’t go wrong with a kitty either. Awesome make.

  2. Love your fun Halloween card. But, it’s the beautiful photo of Zeus that really caught my eye! What a handsome looking boy. Such as intelligent look in his eyes! And his expression that says he’s ready for anything. Can you tell I love GSDs? Thanks for joining us at Watercooler Wednesday.
